Training on Managed Aquifer Recharge Held at Safari Court Hotel in Windhoek, Namibia on 2 March 2017
The training was attended by 37 participants from 11 SADC Member States, the World Bank representative from Washington DC in the USA, SADC Secretariat, NamWater, City of Windhoek and Ministry of Agricuture, Water and Forestry in Namibia. Dr. Ricky Murray of Groundwater Africa Consultants delivered the theoretical training from morning until lunch. The afternoon was dedicated to an exciting field tour that consolidated the theoretical learning into real life experience. Participants appreciated the ‘mix’ that characterised the training. The mix of participants from diverse backgrounds and professional tenures as well as the mix of theory and practice. All these blended into an invaluable learning experience.
