Grey literature includes all that literature not readily available, such as research theses, conference papers, government reports, consulting reports and any other hydrogeological reports.
What is Grey Literature?
Together with other partners, the British Geological Survey supported the SADC grey literature project. The Department of Water and Sanitation in South Africa contributed the grey literature archive project by implementing a process of making their hydrogeological reports available in pdf format on the internet. The SADC-GMI intends exploring ways in supporting these meaningful endeavours.
A range of mainly unpublished “grey data” reports, papers, manuals and maps describing hydrogeological work undertaken within countries in the SADC region during the 20th Century are available to download free of charge. These reports can inform wealth creation in the SADC region by providing valuable and much needed information on groundwater development and investigation.
