Members of SADC-GMI’s Board of Directors Undergo Orientation / Training Session in Pretoria: 20-21 July 2017

Southern African Development Community Groundwater Management Institute (SADC–GMI) hosted an orientation/training for its Board of Directors from the 21st to the 22nd of July 2017, at Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) Campus in Pretoria, South Africa. The training was facilitated by Ms. Barbara Strydom on behalf of Jeyax Development and Training, based in Pretoria.

The SADC Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) is implementing the World Bank funded Sustainable Groundwater Management in SADC Member States project. One of the primary mandates of this project is to engage in capacity building with staff from all 15 SADC Member States on different aspects, aimed at improving groundwater management.

The SADC Groundwater Management Institute participated in the 17th WaterNet Symposium held from 26 to 28 October at the Gaborone International Conference Centre.The symposium was collectively organised by WaterNet, WARFSA and GWP-SA and embraced the concept of integrated water resource management.
