SADC Hydrogeological Map goes LIVE on the SADC Groundwater Information Portal (SADC-GIP)

At the launch of the SADC Groundwater Management Institute (SADC-GMI) in September 2016, many SADC Member States expressed the need to access the hydrogeological maps that were developed in 2010, but later inexplicably disappeared from the public domain online. SADC-GMI took the initiative and engaged the International Groundwater Resources Assessment Centre (IGRAC) to revive access to the results from the said SADC Hydrogeological Mapping Project through the new SADC Groundwater Information Portal (SADC-GIP) which gives access to the harmonised hydrogeological map for the SADC region, borehole data and associated information.

More information on the SADC-GIP and the SADC Hydrogeological Map is provided through a brochure developed and published to guide users navigating through this invaluable product.
